Overview

So, you have probably wondered, what does the god particle mean? What is the god particle? So many questions across that broad mind of yours and your intelligent brain. According to what we know in science all living things are made up of atoms which are the smallest unit of matter. However, do you think atoms are the smallest unit? This same atom we are talking about is made up of sub-atomic particles. Which means atoms can still be broken right? The sub-atomic particles are protons, neutrons, and electrons. We now know that atoms comprise 3 sub-atomic particles (i.e. proton, neutron, and electron).

These particles can still be divided. For instance, protons and neutrons have sub-particles called baryons. Baryons can also be divided to form quarks. Quarks are the smallest unit and they cannot be broken down any further. Let’s not deviate and follow our map. The aim of this article is to provide an understanding of god particle. The god particle is also called the Higgs boson.

According to Wikipedia, The Higgs boson is an elementary particle in the Standard Model of particle physics produced by the quantum excitation of the Higgs field.

The Higgs field is an energy field that is assumed to exist in every part of the universe. This field is escorted by the god particle, Higgs boson. The Higgs field is not similar to fields like the electromagnetic field or whatever. It is entirely different.

Like all the fields in the quantum realm, the Higgs field creates its own fundamental particle, the Higgs boson or particle. It is an unstable particle with a zero spin, no electric charge, and light with a mass of 125GeV that exists for a short while before it decays to muons. Muon is a pair of fundamental particles i.e. a subatomic particle that is not composed of other particles.  Muons are quite similar to electrons but heavier. They are in a family of Lepton, also an elementary particle of just half spin, and they possess weak interactions.

In 2012, the Large Hadron Collider confirmed the existence of the Higgs boson. The Higgs boson exists throughout space via the Higgs mechanism. The Higgs mechanism is a fundamental force, and it reacts with other fundamental forces. Popularly, we know there are four fundamental forces which are gravitational force, electromagnetic force, strong force, and weak force. These forces control how particles interact.

So, the Higgs boson is a fundamental particle because it also determines how particles interact. According to physicists, nothing will exist without the Higgs boson. This is because the mass of every particle depends on the Higgs boson and how well that particle interacts with it, and every particle in space depends on mass. That’s why it is called the god particle.

Five major Facts about the Higgs Boson

  1. The Higgs Boson only explains only a tiny fragment of the universe.
  2. The Higgs boson has not been fully discovered.
  3. The standard particle theory will not be finished even if the Higgs boson becomes known.
  4. There are other families of the Higgs Boson.
  5. Discovering the Higgs boson will just be the beginning of new discoveries.

The God particle.
Colossians 1:17 He is before all things and in Him all things hold together. Looks like the Word of God still holds true today. Another reason to make that “dreadful”choice to put your trust in Him. You’ll thank me later.

Its as if you had a great grasp on the subject matter, but you forgot to include your readers. Perhaps you should think about this from more than one angle.
