Only a few months after OpenAI’s (AI) chatbot, CHATGPT. An internet chatbot, driven by artificial
intelligence was released. The world was astonished by another use of this incredible and world-
changing technology—this time in an area where many believed it would be impossible for it to
function, art.

Reactions to the rise of AI Art have been conflicted. While some see this as a technological advance and
a tremendous achievement, others see it as an encroachment and believe AI shouldn’t be used in this
context.

Some people believe that the expression of one’s sentiments, desires, and even pains through art
cannot be reproduced by a machine.

HISTORY OF AI ART

AI art

Although artificial intelligence has been a discipline since 1956, the first significant AI art system was
developed in the late 1960s by Harold Cohen at the University of California at San Diego.

The name of this AI art system was known as AARON and was made to “code” the act of drawing. The
images were first black and white only, although AARON was later taught to paint using special paint
chosen by the AI.

MODERN AI ART SYSTEMS

The Google app DeepDream, which was introduced in 2015, makes use of a convolutional neural
network to discover and enhance patterns in photos using algorithmic pareidolia.

Following the debut of DeepDream, a number of businesses released applications that turn photographs into artistic images in the vein of well-known sets of paintings. Following the debut of DeepDream, a number of businesses released applications that turn photographs into artistic images in the vein of well-known sets of paintings. These applications include:

1. OPEN ART
Former Google employees launched the San Francisco-based firm “Open Art”. They aspire to provide a brand-new platform for AI artists and enthusiasts and are fans of generative art. This platform is rapidly developing and constantly evolving.

Here’s what the company’s goals are stated on its website:

“For a very long time in human history, art was a specialized technique mastered by minority. However, the foundation of art is all about expressing our creativity and imagination, which is something everyone should be empowered to do. With the state-of-the-art technologies like Stable Diffusion, creating amazing art is more accessible to everyone than ever and AI-generated art is becoming a new way to express ourselves.”

2. HOTPOT
Hotpot helps people create with AI and other software that are easy to use. With a mission of making
graphics design and media creation 10x faster, their services are “as easy as texting a friend
The goal of this company for professional designers is to automate tasks and augment the creative process.

3.  NIGHTLIFE CREATOR
The goal of this company for professional designers is to automate tasks and augment the creative process.  Nightlife studios create tools that allow anyone without a high level of skill, to experience the satisfaction of creating art.

Angus Russell started NightCafe Creator in his tiny Inner-West Sydney semi-detached home spare
bedroom in November 2019. Over 35 million AI-generated artworks were produced on the platform as
of October 2022.

4.  FOTOR
Fotor is a powerful, user-friendly, and internationally accessible online picture editing suite that uses
proprietary AI technology to provide anybody and everyone with an unmatched degree of photo editing
experience.
It was first founded in 2009 and now has over 500 million users in over 190 countries.

5. STARRYAI
StarryAI is an AI art generator. The process involves using a text prompt to generate images using AI.
This app can be used to create calendar designs, posters, and fashion design concepts.

There are several various AI art systems that may be used by both professional and non-skilled users,
each with an endless number of applications and differing degrees of usage simplicity. The world is
changing as a result of technology, which is enabling people to complete tasks more quickly and easily
than they could otherwise. AI art is one such development and I believe we are lucky to witness such
advancement in technology in our time.
